Joel Kadish

Joel was called to the Bar a long time ago. You can tell this because of his white hair. Well, at least he still has hair.

He loves being involved in people’s life cycles. When those first-time home buyers come through the door, when people are selling and buying to accommodate their growing families, when people are “downsizing”. When people deal with death of a loved one or divorce, real estate is an integral part of that process and Joel, once again, is involved in these dynamic, lifestyle events.

It’s really special to be involved in a client’s most significant lifetime asset purchase. His hands on approach and practical advice create good outcomes and ensures the clients are always well taken care of.

Ethan Jonah Pather

Lawyer

Ethan was called to the bar in 2023 after completing his articles at a mid-size, full-service firm in downtown Toronto. He earned both his Canadian and American law degrees through the Dual J.D. Program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy.

Ethan’s practice focuses primarily on real estate, where he advises clients across the GTA on both residential and commercial transactions. He works with a wide range of clients—from first-time homebuyers to experienced investors—bringing a practical and detail-oriented approach to every file.

Drawing on his diverse background and experience, Ethan is committed to making each transaction as smooth and stress-free as possible. He takes pride in being responsive, approachable, and thorough, ensuring his clients feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.

Aidan McClean

Senior Law Clerk

With more than 25 years of experience, Aidan is a seasoned law clerk focusing on residential real estate transactions. His work includes a strong emphasis on private mortgages along with regularly acting for clients on purchases, sales and refinances. Aidan is known for providing steady and knowledgeable support through complex transactions.

Petronela Gaina

Senior Law Clerk

Petronela has been working as a real estate law clerk since 2005, prior to which, she obtained her law degree in Romania and a subsequent law clerk diploma from Seneca College. She provides valuable support at Kadish Law in all facets of the real estate transaction process and frequently acts on behalf of private lenders and lending institutions.

Shefali Shokeen

Law Clerk

As youngest team member at Kadish Law, Shefali brings a youthful and well-organized approach to her wide range of files including residential purchases, sales, new build occupancies, and final closings with great attention to detail. Through consistent communication, she ensures clients are informed and confident throughout the entire transactional process. Shefali is a team player who enjoys helping colleagues and clients alike find solutions to problems and support the smooth functioning of the office.

Melissa Gardner

Senior Law Clerk

Melissa has been a law clerk at Kadish Law for many years and has a wide range of experience acting for client on residential real estate transactions including purchases, sales, and refinances. Melissa continuously works with builders, private lenders, credit unions and the major banks in assisting clients complete their transactions. She enjoys assisting clients successfully and easily complete their transactions and ensures clients are well taken care of.

Christine Thompson

Bookkeeper

Christine is the bookkeeper at Kadish Law, having over 30 years of bookkeeping and office management experience. She specializes in PCLaw and Soluno software as well as Quickbooks online. She ensures the financial aspects of Kadish Law continue to run smoothly and a daily basis.
